Vanderbilt needs to take a shot at Ohio State.
But seriously, USC, ND, Arkansas, or Flordia needs to play Ohio State.

While I am from Michigan, I am not a proponent of UofM v OSU 2. However, that being said, the BCS is supposed to match up the two best teams in the country, regardless of their conference.
While I believe USC will pound ND this weekend and beat UCLA next weekend, UofM will probably play OSU if USC loses either of those games. I'm sure most of the national media doesn't want to watch that rematch, it is not up to the media who plays in the national championship.
I only cheer for the rematch because it would prove a severe fault in the BCS that would simply be overcome by a 16 team playoff. Every year, there are 2 or 3 teams with legit arguements over who should be in the NC. If it was a 16 team playoff, there would still be 2 or 3 teams complaining they didnt get in, but who would really care about that arguement outside of the respective teams' fans.
As for UofM blowing their shot at OSU, I would like to see what happens on a neutral site. You can not deny that homefield advantage is worth 3-5 points. However, that is how the schedule worked out this season.
As a side note, I am sick of the preseason polls and there shouldn't be a poll until week 4 to truly judge a team's accomplishments. Every year, by week 4, there is some team that is 2-2 that is still in the top 25 while an undefeated team is somehow sitting outside of the top 25 because they didnt play great the year before. If the AP poll and ESPN/USA Today poll were not released until after the 4th full week of the season, there would be a much better understanding of which teams deserve to be in the top 25.

Because
It lost to the number one team in America, Ohio State in its last game of the regular season. If these two had played the exact same 42-39 battle in the opening week of the year, you could make a case that Michigan improved over the course of the season, or Ohio State might have gotten a little bit worse, but they just played. If you’re asking for a rematch, then you’re suggesting that Ohio State might not be the number one team in the country and that Michigan might be. You can’t have it both ways.

First of all, I am a diehard Michigan fan and am NOT in favor of a rematch this year. We did indeed have our shot at #1 and fell a little short. Since the Flawed BCS still has us #2 it is up to the teams still with games to play to step up and prove they deserve the chance to play in the NC game, not just bellyache about Michigan. I will be happy to see the Maize and Blue in whichever bowl game they end up in. If it's the NC game, so be it. If it's the Rose Bowl, so be it. Earning the trip to the NC is what it's all about.

Yes we blew it and OSU won fair and square (though you should get rid of that lousy turf you have). I'm not in favor of a rematch... I'd prefer to see OSU back at the Big House this time next year for another game. No one plays football like OSU and Michigan no matter where we're ranked! Go Blue!

Good question. I agree that another one should have the chance to play Ohio State. Just play this out...let's say that UM plays OSU again and wins. What does that prove? Or OSU wins, again, so... UM is definitely the best number 2 team, but it would be nice for another school to play OSU. We have already seen the national championship this year.

They had there chance and it now belongs to USC(if they beat Notre Dame) The only sad fact is Michigan is undoubtable the #2 team. As a bucks fan I hope they don't get to play them again. That game was too close.:)

Boise Stae is the only other undefeated team. Should they get the chance? USC lost to Oregon State, Notre Dame to Michigan, and Florida lost to Auburn.

they shouldn't because even if they won (which they wouldnt), it'd be dumb because that would mean they are 1-1 for 2006. So no matter WHAT, the BEST michigan can do it TIE ohio state. Since I'm a buckeye fan, I have full confidence that even if they were to rematch, we WOULD RUN THIS!!! Why put michigan to shame again? No one can TOUCH this INSANE fan base in COLUMBUS OHHHHHIO!

they would only if:
1. they finished a convincing #2 in the BCS
2. they have to beat ohio state twice to become the national champions. ohio state will only need to beat them once.
