I think your friend needs to grow up and get herself a life!
If the only enjoyment and fun she has is by `winding` up her 8 year old daughter then she is v.sad!!

Her daughter at 8 wont get the joke and feel as if she is being laughed at and picked on, by her own mother of all people!

So advise your friend not to bother making the veil and just to drop it and apologise to her daughter as it`s just not funny.

We all wind kids up occasionally as our mums and big sisters did to us when we were little, but 8 is a very vulnerable age, It was for me anyway. And if you are concerned enough to post it as a question on here I think you have probably already answered it yourself? Just put it nicely to your mate, that you think you should give her daughter a break, otherwise you could end up doing her some long term psychological damage. Remember who the adults are here please! Good luck.

Its funny when you say it once or twice, but if you do it tooo many times,it starts to get lame, but to a 8 yr old kid! seems like your friends should grow up,and stop bullying her own daughter,
by the way, this isnt a joke.

It is both immature and cruel winding up a child of that age.
Your friend, who calls herself a Christian, ought to know better. Ask her if she thinks that is what Jesus would do.
It is not 'a laugh', it is a sick joke that could damage that little girl. (Most likely she will grow out of it, and get over it, but that is no reason to put her through it)

You two are grown-ups. You should know better what a misery your are causing. Please stop making fun of this poor girl and stop talking about this little Muslim boy character. It's unfair to her and you could do a lot of damage to her future relationship with people from that background. There's enough misunderstanding between different communities and you shouldn't cause more, if you are a good Christian!

I have to agree with all of the above, you are both bullying an 8 yr old child! That poor kid stands very little chance in life with a mother like that.

What kind of sad sickos are you? It's pure cruel and evil to play with an 8 year old, she probably doesn't take it as a joke and you could damage her permanently. Are you proud of yourself or something? What if she develops psychological problems? They can happen so much easier than with constant abuse.

Your friend is too immature to be a mother, tell her that. The girl is 8! Tell your friend straight it has to stop, joke over. Joking about religion, especially Christian versus Muslim, during these times is tactless.

Your friend sounds a bit cruel and immature. She is bullying her daughter. If she carries on with this she will have one unhappy little girl who hates her. Tell her to drop it, and change the subject if she brings it up again.

Ithink its cruel to keep on doing it if the child gets upset. If she doesn't where's the harm? Not sure about poking fun at somene just because of their faith though, even if he is imaginary.I think it sends the wrong message to a child.
