he might have colon cancer! Ok thats the scary one,..really he needs to be checked he might have Irritable Bowel Syndrome..at the mildest...or something worse!

He might have a bacterial infection. That can cause uncontrollable diarrhea. He MUST go to the doctor for tests. It could get worse (I am not saying that it will get worse, but it might -- depending on the nature of the illness.) The only way to know what is going on is to get it properly diagnosed, and to do whatever the doctor recommends.
If your friend should try to correct things by taking things such as Pepto-Bismal, that will not correct the long-term problem. Just get him to the doctor ASAP. If he won't go, tell him that you will talk to his family. Just put the "fear of God" into him somehow because this might be very serious and he should not wait any longer.

Does he give you a reason for not seeing the doctor? Why don't you research it together on the net? Perhaps he'll see something there that'll scare him in to going. Or, you could offer to go with him. Turn it into a day trip. Go shopping, drop in to the docs, go see a movie, play video games...

Your flat mate needs to go to the DOCTOR NOW!!! The reasons are he will be getting very vitamin deficient, dehydreated and feeling very unwell. It could be any number of serious and not so serious issues but he reals needs to get the courage to go to the doctor. Maybe you could go with him - if you are close, but he needs to go. Fear is a very debilitating thing and the Ifs can realy impact on people. try to be understanding but a medical practice is where he needs to be. Good luck.

There's obviously something wrong with him. If he's had it 2 months it is plain to see it is not going to sort itself out and it will only get worse. If it is something really bad then time is of the essence.

That he probally has colon cancer but if he gets it sorted in the early stages he should be alright. (im not saying i think he has cancer! its probally alot to do with diet)
Tell him the toliet is broken! and he cant do a number 2 otherwise it will over-flow!
