I know it's not coolant. We get a wet floor when it rains, any recommendations for sealing the firewall as that seems to be where the water is coming in. Have been told that low compression foam would work to seal anything but am unsure.

Did you have the wind shield replaced recently? if so than I would take it back to the company that replaced it. Was your car in an accident that you know of? If I where you I would take out the top dash cover and look at the trim and see if its wet if not than take a garden hose and spray the out side of the car and than look to see if any water has leaked in. Next check under the car and look for body rot if there is any than you could have a hole in your car. The last thing that I would recommend is to take the bottom dash covers off and have some body else spray the car in different places and at the same time look under the dash to see if their is water coming in. I would recommend silicone or epoxy sealer to fill in and holes. If you have or find any rot in or out side the car than that will have to be fixed by a professional.

I'm sorry I don't have an answer to your question. Just wanted to say that I am having the SAME EXACT problem with my 95 Grand Am. It's always wet on the driver's side floor and I know it's a water leak. I've taken it to two mechanics whom were both baffled... the last one redid my caulking undermy windsheild I believe. I am going to take it back to him tomorrow and tell him it is maybe the Firewall. I'll post back if that fixes my leak problem. One thing is for sure, I probably shouldn't keep putting my money into this bloody peice of junk.

I have many years experiance. One is to check and see if your radiator is full of water. If it is low, then the answer to your wet floor is obviously the Heater core, typically under the dash on your side. Also when replacing, usually because of rusty core. Also check the radiator. If rust is there as well, its best to change both and flush your system before adding new coolant. This goes for all cars makes and models. Well mostly. If your radiator isnt at a loss of water, then you do have a leak from your windshield.

Yes you are right it is the firewall if not the windsheild. And the spray undercoating for trucks in a can. They do work great. Give it a try. Good luck. Jodi
