Apologizing to Jesse does not excuse him of his actions. He let his emotions get the best of him and it brought out the worst in him. For him to say what he did about the lynching and fork in the *** was racist, mean and disgusting. Racism is something one believes. You're not born with it. For him to use it in the manner he did. Shows his racist feelings. He's a Racist and he let the public know just how much.

I think it's a joke!! I mean why the hell does he owe them anything?? He didn't say it to them.. He might as well go out in the streets of all 50 states and aplogize to every black person he sees...It's ridiculous anyway because it's a double standard! The fact that rappers say the "N" word (No I don't use it!!) all the time!! And you hear all these little hip hop clowns refer to themselves as it again every other word...I have no problem with the fact that he snapped and called them something they probably refered to themselves as all day long anyway....It was the comment that precipitated it
"If it was 50 years ago you'd be hanging upside down with a fork in your a*s" That blew my mind...
Something like that just doesn't roll off your tongue unless you've thought about it before..That was unbelievably offensive and crossed every line there was to cross in my mind!! The dudes career has been dead for years. So I can't even say he buried himself with that comment...But he sure let people know where his mind lies..He's racist no if's ands or buts about it

I didn't know he apologized to him. Is Jesse Jackson the representative of all Black people?
I don't think apologizing makes a difference. Just like the Mel Gibson thing, he just has to wait till it blows over.

They made a mountain out of a mole hill. In other words, it was blown out of proportion, just another media ploy to get attention.
Myself, I think that people say things they don't really mean under pressure, That's what Richards did. Everyone needs to leave the poor guy alone and find something more important to gripe about. He shouldn't have to apologize for being human.

I don't think it accomplishes anything. He'll still retain that racist label, regardless how sincere his apology sounds. Things like this tend to take years for people to forget. Just think...here it is 50 years later, and he hung himself with his nasty, filthy mouth.

i did not hear the comment and yes i am black as you can see from the pic. however disturbing and disrespectful/ racist he may sound, he is entitled to his opinion. i am not taking up for anyone but alot of people in my race tend to get mad at this sort of thing and call others racist when we do alot to disrespect ourselves and call each-other degrading names but as soon as someone outside our race does it, they want to scream, cry racism blah, blah, blah. I'm tired of hearing the same story. i am by no means a racist myself. things will blow over and Jesse Jackson isn't representative of the whole African American race. but that's my own opinion.

you know, if he had said "shut the f**k up you dumba$$es" or something like that - an apology would be appropriate....but telling someone that "50 years ago you were hanging upside down from a tree with a fork shoved up your a..." isn't something for which you *can* apologize.
sorry...when i get angry with people that set of words just never seems to jump into my mind. i find it odd that *anyone* would come up with that.

it's a weak and empty attempt to salvage his very dim stardom. he is not trying to right his damage inflicted to others. he is trying to right that which was done to his pathetic self. he had faded fast after the seinfeld series, and now he's not even B-list. serves him right.
NO SOUP FOR YOU!
