I agree with you. I have found it's much easier to get a violation notice than it is to have a basher's comment deleted. I don't think yahoo is specifically targeting gay people, but I think it's just part of a larger problem that people in general are too accepting of anti-gay garbage, including some of the yahoo employees who review violation notices. Yahoo is no better or worse than most organizations.

I report violations anyway. Because it does work sometimes. I doubt if they'll delete your question, by the way. Because you're certainly not harassing anyone. Take care.

Edit: and regarding someones post that yahoo can delete or not delete whatever it pleases, because this forum belongs to them, I agree. However, that doesn't mean we can't try to influence Yahoo to take the complaints seriously, when it comes to the bashers.

At the bottom of this page is a link to the message board for suggestions.

Its called "tell us what you think"

You can start a message thread there but unless your questions or responses fit the rather rigid rules, you won't get much traction with your past violations.

You however can start a thread on there in which the issue is the policy of ignoring or doing little to stop the hate on the LGBT boards, since they can not dismiss it as readily if you are not contesting your own past violations.

I might also suggest you not use the Yahoo ID you post questions on here as your primary ID as you risk having your whole account deleted.

Hope that answers some questions and helps a bit.

I think violations are automatic. Either there is a 'bot' which looks at the reports, or there's a moron who just automatically converts any reports into violations.

I can only assume that there's some idiot out there who's reporting you for being pro-gay. It's people like this who are ruining this site.

Wish I knew what to tell you. I've gotten violations for speaking my mind about bashers too. It's just wrong.

Report Yahoo to Yahoo, cos it works the other way around as well.

Click on help up on the top right corner of this page and tell them what you think of them. Then post their answer here because I am curious as to what their answer will be.

Personally, I defend your right to say whatever you like so long as I does not defame anyone else, but on the other hand, this is Yahoo's site and they have an absolute right to make whatever rules please them. We, the groundlings, may only vote with our feet, or considering the venue, our fingers.

You must be joking...just getting in contact with customer service is a nightmare! Someone has it in for you by the sound of it, just steer clear of the gay questions...;
