I went in line at best buy, walmart, and everywhere in hayward,even gamestop,and ppl were lining up!And in best buy, they were giving out lots of playstation 3s and they didnt even give all of them!
we went to walmart,and then they PROMISED that they would sell 24 and all they sold was 12! and all the other shops were sold out..stupid book report...i couldve lined up if i finished my book report....

A cheap PS3 doesn't exist right now. Give it a few months after the holiday rush and everyone who waited after the holiday rush to get one. Then they should go down about $100 or so and be more available, like the 360.

My friend got one for $300 because his uncle works at some sort of tech store or something but he wasn't able to restock three PS3s that he accidentally left out so they told him he could keep them. He sold one to my friends older brother and now they're having fun. For you I don't really know. The PS3 doesn't have that many great games right now and the XBOX is the one you should get now.

Keep tabs on internet shopping sites if you can shop online. Woot.com gave away Wiis for $1, amazon.com is selling (or is about to) Xbox 360s for $100, etc. Check local listings on sites like craigslist.org and hoobly.com. Look around.

a typical bait & switch, stores are selling laptops for under $400.00, you go there and they are selling them at that price but no operating system is installed.from what i've seen you have to know someone or be willing to pay any price that is asked.
Be careful ,Wii is being sold un programed you hook it up you get an error message need up-date to connect to the internet.

I dunno what price you consider "cheap", but pretty much anywhere os gunna be sold out and/or pretty expensive. You might wanna look around online, to some comparisons.
