In an emergency the attorney general can approve surveillance to begin immediately. They then have so many days (30 I think?) to file for the official warrant from the court.

no. do you really think that the nsa, fbi, or cia are bothered by or care about what any court has to say about it? they have a job to do and they take it very seriously. they will all do what they need to do to protect this country.
the fbi may be the most sensitive to the issue but i don't know how homeland security has effected their operations either. but i can assure you that the other two agencies could give a sh_t. and i'm glad they don't.

If you have nothing to hide who cares. Daily we are caught on 100's of cctv cameras and nobody bats an eye lid. You can be tracked by your mobile phone and calls can e monitored easily
