I agree with you (but I also think the Mallorean would be a good one). I think Eddings and Feist are great authors.
I'd like to see the Drizzt books (RA Salvatore) made into movies. For older fantasy fans, Steven Kings Dark Towers series would be superb.

I think 'The Hobbit' should be made, since it is a prequel to Lord of the Rings. And you better believe Peter Jackson needs to be at the helm. Does anyone know the status of the licensing rights for the Hobbit? I understand the only reason it hasn't been made is because the heirs of Tolkein won't release the movie rights, or something.

Anybody remember The Wierdstone of Brisingamen (sp?) by Alan Garner? Going back a while, but this would make a great movie in the Lord of the Rings genre - would need a lot of money throwing at it in the way of effects, though.
