Contrast their governmental forms. IE - Europeans would have structured government with an acknowledged head (Queen, King, Prime Minister, etc), national boundaries and "nationhood" (everyone born in England is English) while the Indians has a very fluid idea of "nationhood" (only direct descent from said tribal members = tribe affiliation), their borders were not set, they had no true idea of a structured government. This very different ideal of citizenship and it's responsibilites lead to many of the arguments and wars in the early years of colonization of the New World.

You could also contrast and compare the French style of Indian interaction with the English (or Spanish, Portugese, Dutch, etc.). IE, the French traded for furs but had no true desire to rule the land. The English wanted the land which in turn provided very different struggles and alliances with, and again, Indian tribes.
