In your opinion, what are the top 5 respected countries, and why? Also, which nationality are you?

Generally, the European countries - France, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark to name the top 5. Reason is that they are broad minded and peaceful yet very much involved in world events. They have a good standard of living and a good balance of social programs with free economy. I am American and USA could take a lesson.

That would be, in order: China, Russia, France, the UK, and the USA.
China doesn't seem to ever have problems with anyone.
Russia's power lies in it's Soviet past...but their still formidable.
France will be respected until the next time someone invades them and they need our help again....then they'll resume being arrogant.
The UK and the USA are lumped at the bottom of THIS list mainly because of the Iraq war....nonetheless, we seem to scare the crap out of the rest of the world the most because we're willing to do a fight that others in this world don't have the stomach for....not that it seems to earn us respect!!!

Well, I am Macedonian and I think that the top 5 countries are: France, England,Germany,Austria and Italy because they are know from football, rich countries,...

America (why I am unsure) China (1 billion angry people can't be good) England (Past things done like colonizing America and Australia) North Korea (fear of of the atomic weapons) and Australia because of the sheer quantity of natural resources and state of the art technology.
