no, because a team's final record should not be the only determining factor in playing for the national championship.
if that were the case, you would see teams schedule their non-conference opponents as division 2 teams to better their records. that's just not right....

I think that # 1 Ohio State being 12-0 will be there but definately not Boise St. I think it will be either # 3 USC or # 6 Notre Dame.

Boise State needs to end a million or 2 interior the perfect BCS standings. the undertaking is that BSU does no longer play each and every individual else for something of the 300 and sixty 5 days, and the only marquee wins are Oregon State and Virginia Tech. If Oklahoma or Oregon stay undefeated, they might stay basically until now BSU. additionally an undefeated SEC or a million loss Alabama will bounce them. additionally TCU has an stronger threat of leaping basically until now BSU than BSU has of staying forward. For Boise State to creating it the the NCG, you pick undefeated communities to lose.

First, Boise could lose to Nevada tomorrow.
Second, Boise is FAR from the second best team in the nation, they play in a weak conference, and their best non conference win was against Oregon St, which is the only good team they've beaten, besides Hawaii

LOL....that would be a horrible matchup. Undefeated or not, Boise State would get killed by Ohio State. The bowl promoters would hate that one, the advertisers would hate that one, and the NCAA would hate that one. Looks like it will be Ohio State/USC.

You got a point.
See this is what I hate about the BCS rankings.
People pick their favorite teams so they get ranked high.
The National Championship is based on computers and local reporters.
It should be based on record, then strength of schedule, then head-on record (if they played each other).
If Rutgers went undefeated and didn't play in the National Title game, I'd be so mad.
