I generally use news.google.com

The reason I say this -- I believe the only way to get news which is accurate and unbiased is to take in as many sources as possible. Google News takes in numerous sources and I find it much better than what other search engines such as Yahoo! and the new Live.com (from Microsoft) offer.

All news agencies are biased in some way. This is an unfortunate fact of life -- everyone has an angle on something. Even those that appear to be as "independent" as possible, are perhaps too "biased" in this respect. It's human nature.

This is why I think getting as many sources as possible is best.

You have to take all news with a pinch of salt. Have you ever had anything reported on the news from your own area??
Did they get the facts right, let alone the names etc??

Exactly, they get it all wrong, and almost ALL media is controlled these days by 'The Few' who are above politics on every level.
Infact, they have politicians eating out of their hands.

To get a better understanding of this you might like to read the article below.

I'm a fan of the BBC.

That said, I think the only way you can really start to understand things is to read several sources.

I think blogs might have a larger impact as time goes on.

very difficult, as nearly every news coverage seems ot be slanted either to the right or left (i.e. Liberal and Conservative, forthose who don't speak Politic) so i have a hard time really taking any of it as fact, its all spun. INCLUDING the New York Times, so don't necassarily trust it just because its the most famous one. pretty much just take everything with a grain of salt, unless its documented.
