God bless you! I've had two miscarriages, the first was at 14 weeks, there was no pain at first, just bleeding. The baby fell out of me while I was on the toilet. The second miscarriage was at 7 weeks and it felt and looked like a heavy period. What you could be discribing are Braxton Hicks contractions. These happen every 20 mins from the start of pregnancy. Some people feel them and some don't. I didn't feel them when I was pregnant with my two children, but now I'm pregnant with my third I have been having them the whole time and in the beginning they felt like the onset of a miscarriage, I am now 33 weeks. I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry and wait until your scan. I hope this puts your mind at ease.

It IS possible that you could not know until you were scanned unfortunately.

When I miscarried my first baby I didn't know at all and with my second I knew there was very little hope from the bleeding BUT with my daughter I bled badly for weeks but had weekly scans and still carried full term with a healthy 6lb2oz baby.

What I can't stress enough is that if you are in any way unhappy and you're pregnant then call your midwife or nearest health professional IMMEDIATELY. They would rather you call and it's nothing than you don't and should have.

If in doubt go straight to the gp better to be safe than sorry. I had my 3rd miscarriage 3 weeks ago and at first i had no bleeding but i did have pains in my legs back and lower tummy. A week later i started to bleed and had a complete miscarriage. I strongly advise you to keep close tabs with your gp. It may just be trapped wind or something causing no threats to your baby but take it easy and see your gp - putting your mind at rest will help you relax. Best of luck and hope your pregnancy goes well for you x

I would say you are not miscarrying and yes some people do not know that they are massacring because they have what they think is there period. ( usually they are like 4-5 weeks preg.) You Will have bleeding and severe pains if you do miscarry I think you are having growing pains or something else but not a miscarriage. Trust me you will know if you have one!! You have to bleed to expel the baby! I would call the doc. to make sure everything is fine. It is possible that you are trying to miscarry but, if you have no bleeding than you are ok!

Just go see doc. ASAP

I miscarried at 9and a half weeks I went for a vaginal scan and every thing was fine then a week later I went for a tummy scan and there was no heart beat so now you dint always know and you don't always bleed.

you wouldn't always know however bleeding bright red blood not brown and pains are most common but unfortunatly some girls go for a scan only to find baby has passed on with no symptoms but that is rare.if you are pregnant relax and enjoy it xx

depends on how far along you are you can tell because you will see it..... They only way to know for sure is going to a doc... or taking another home test after the bleeding and clots have stopped, if you have had a pos before then a neg after it stops then you no.
