Greeks are very family oriented.. Kids do not leave home until they get married -usually. Most of us -almost 98%- are greek orthodox. Loud, friendly, impatient and extrovert would be our main characteristics... You already got an answer about holidays. Clothes wise I don't know what you want to know, but the traditional costumes are only worn in villages on special occasions (not really often). Hope I've helped..

Greek people are very family oriented. Children respect their parents. Greek Orthodox is by far the religion practised by 90% of all the greek people in the world. March 25th is Greek Independance Day-the day we were finally freed from Turkish occupation. Easter is the most important Holiday of all (much like the Catholic church), we fast from all animal products for the 40 period before Easter. We continue to celebrate Easter for 40 days after, continuing to use the phrase "Xristos Aneste" meaning Christ is Risen.

The movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" is actually how most greeks are! lol (and I am greek myself, so I am not insulting anyone)

hi Jess, sorry for the sluggish reaction, what has been suggested as regards the memorial is authentic. Jesus commanded that we save in ideas his demise and commemorate it each and every 12 months on the time that coincides with the jewish passover nisan 14. Jehovahs witnesses do no longer have a good time many customary or classic vacation journeys which includes christmas, easter, birthdays and halloween as many of the customs are surely derived from pagan teachings and activities. wish this helps. Many jehovahs witnesses have a good time their wedding ceremony anniversary, as there are literally not any pagan roots linked with this. some pick now to not, even though it really is own determination.

- They have 8 holidays
- Hellas (meaning Greece) is the official Greek term for Greece
- Hellanic Republic means Greek Republic
- Their culture is revolved around mythology and their flag colors - blue & white
