imitation just means that one can't come up their own "uniqueness". flattery is when you try to make yourself a better person because of the example someone sets.

eh..both.
It depends to what extent. If you walk around saying something like "I'm Dane Cook! love me love me!" thats just stupid! if you tell someone "O hey did you hear this joke from Dane Cook?" and then Recite it...thats fine. As long as your not protending to be the person.
