What is the difference between the Internet Business and e-business?

Look further and think bigger.

e-businesss include Internet Business and there are other forms of e-business. In short, e-business need not merely be done through Internet. Have you heard about Intranet? Have you heard about teletext (an interactive system which is available via cable TV)?

Actually, e-business is those busines which is done via "on-line". Some e-business is done via "private lines" so they are not available on Internet.

Although over 90% of those e-business is done via Internet, some are not. Some banks offer private line connection between their main-frame computer to the customers' office PC computer so that bank transactions and business can be done via the private line between the bank and the customer. A famous example is the "hexagon" system of Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, which is a e-banking system. Hexagon exists before the Internet become popular.

Some countries still run a "teletext" system with which your houseful top-box - cable TV - is connected with the big computer server, so that you can do transactions via your TV. This is not new, available to some countries at least for 20 years.

Internet Business is actually a new form of e-business only.

I would say the "Internet Business" could possibly relate to working in or on the Internet with respect to designing or programming. The information technology business has people who only work on Internet business.
