And separation of Church and State - allowing religion, just not letting it get dominant.
It is morally wrong to impose on religion on everyone.

Those principles are being denied because your country is actually growing up. Soon, when it becomes an actually secular state with a clear separation of Church and State, you Americans might even think of starting what might be termed a civilization. Congrats!
In any case, you should recall that the Bible's "veracity" (which features your Christian version of God) is to be taken on faith. Being that reason (yes, reason, that mode of thinking made popular from the Enlightenment onwards) is quite in vogue these days, it should not be such a surprise that folks seem less tolerant of the intolerance Christianity (and Islam and Judaism and Hinduism) bring to human relationships. Who knows, if we humans are still around a couple of decades from now and we continue this pleasant process of maturity, we might all actually "discover" that there is no such thing as straight or gay people. Oh, joyous day!
As for "gays" marrying, having children, etc., do remember that morality and religion are mutually exclusive, especially the principle of universality. What I assume is your "God" does NOT justify "homosexuality" (see Leviticus, from the Bible's Old Testament) and the only reason you ask him to bless America is because Ike Eisenhower, in his infinite wisdom, succumbed to the rather flimsy argument that God was needed in people's brains to counter that "evil scourge" of Communism.
Finally, the only way kids might have a problem living with Adam and Steve as their parents (with Eve as that funny aunt) is if folks make it a problem. And it is only a problem for those silly enough to respect, on faith alone, the opinions of barbarians from some 5,000 years ago.
In other words, Roland, wisen up, get with the times, it'll do you good. It'll do us all good.

First, mom and dad aren't going to look alike unless they are identical twins, and that would be an incestuous relationship, frowned upon by society...and biology! Secondly, gays can't get married in most places in the United States because people with similar beliefs as your own have either outlawed such marriages in the statutes or the state constitutions. Kids raised by gay or lesbian couples turn out the same as kids from straight couples, so that's a real non-starter. And finally, IMHO, God loves all people and waits with patience for us to realize that for ourselves...and that applies across the board for anyone of any race, creed, color, sexual orientation, and religion (yeah...even non-Christians 'cuz God doesn't have a religion!) I don't go around saying, "God Bless America" all the time. But it's an easy tune to sing.

First off your opening statement is incorrect. Not everybody agrees that the USA was founded on "Christian" principles at all. As a matter of fact there are documents proving otherwise.
Sure many of our founding fathers were "Christians" but many were also "deists" who didn't subscribe to organized "christian" faiths at all.
Our nation was actually founded on the FREEDOM OF RELIGION, which has been upheld as to also mean FREEDOM FROM RELIGION.
The First Amendment, ratified in 1791, applied by its terms only to the federal government — “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof … .”
If the federal government allowed federally funded public schools to post the "Christian" ten commandments or force christian style prayer on students it would constitute an establishment of religion by the 'state' which is illegal under the US Constitution.
GET IT?
Homosexuals aren't some other type of creature, they're HUMAN BEINGS! Just as able to raise children with a healthy understanding of the world around them as anyone else.
Your statement about "Mommy and Daddy looking alike" is simply obtuse and ignorant of basic human understanding.
Children know that a Mommy is female and a Daddy is male. Having two PARENTS who are the same GENDER is no more confusing than seeing a dog hump a pet owners leg. It just is how they are RAISED that make children IGNORANT or INTOLERANT.
If a child is raised to believe anyone different from him/her is to be hated, feared, denied basic human dignity, that is how the child will behave.
If a child is raised to believe that all human life is precious, all humans are worthy of dignity, all humans are going to be different and that those differences are to be cherished and encouraged, that is how that child will behave.
You have obviously been raised to believe that differences are somehow inherently bad.
I pity you.

America was built on some principles that may have been mouthed by christians as well, but it was designed around the concept of justice and fairness for all.
And most of it's founders would have described themselves as either Theists (believing there is at least one god) or Deists (believing there is at most one god) rather than Christians (and there was a minority of Atheists in the mix.) But all agreed it was paramount that no single faith or interpretation thereof be granted government favoritism. Many of them had ancestors who fled to America (or were exiled to america) due to religious persecution (mostly Christians hating on each other, in fact.)
Now, is it 'morally right' for homosexuals to marry, and gays to reject the notions of shame? I can't say; I am no arbitriter of absolute morality. I would, however, say that it is *ethically* correct to allow them this.

The leading founders of this nation were deists not Christians. If the Puritans had had their way, this would be a very different country. Frankly, the Puritans were bigots. I do not know why we glorify them. Europeans think we are a land of religious fanatics, and I think they may have a point. Ever wonder why Election Day is the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November? And when you answer that question, please now tell me why in many majority Roman Catholic countries election day is traditional on a Sunday?
Now pulling a phrase from your question, please tell me why the man who wrote the song, "God Bless America", was the victim of religious prejudice from the ancestors of so many of you who sing his songs?
You Christians gave Europe the Dark Ages. What present do you have planned for the United States of America?

I was always under the impression that America was built on the principles of freedom and justice, At least that`s what the declaration of independance states.
One part if it
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness"
Seems to be alien to the Amercan people, who knows what the creator endowed us with certainly not Government or Church.
they are both organisations of hypocracy.
It does`nt matter where you live there will always be injustice to some faction of society.
Chritianity has no principles, it has rewritten the Bible so many times that nobody knows the truth of it.

Because the times, they are a changing. America was also built on slavery, the mistreatment of the indigenous population, and other assorted nasties... why are those principles being denied today?
What about the hundreds of thousands of Americans who aren't Christians? Like the Hindus and the Buddhists and the Muslims - why should they have YOUR beliefs imposed on them?
Church and state should remain separate - God should be in your private lives, not part of the social structure.

Yet this is contradicted by the fact that even though the number of converts is increasing, largely as a result of the decline of public education, the cultural influence of Christianity continues to decline. People continue to think for themselves, and it is the widespread contact with a variety of ideas and values is responsible for this trend in America.
In Europe, the scene of so much Christianity-inspired bloodletting and persecution in recent centuries, Christian influence has declined to the point that scholars refer to the current day as the "post-Christian era." In most countries of Europe, weekly church attendance has declined to low single-digit percentages. Only in Russia, suffering from the collapsing economy and educational system caused by the ill-concieved structural readjustments of the transition from Communism, is Christianity making headway, alongside New Age movements and cults based on eastern philosoply and religions.
The main regions where Christianity is gaining serious ground is in the impoverished nations of South Asia and Africa, where modern transportation and communications are beginning to reduce the cost of evangelical missionary work. The impoverished villages of India and Africa are the places where Christianity is seeing its most successful efforts at expansion. Where values of the 19th century still live, Christianity still flourishes.
AND GUESS WHAT GAYS HAVE BEEN AROUND LONG BEFORE ORGANISED RELIGION and will still be around after religion is finished ....good isn't it! one needs consistency.
