What is the difference between Xbox and Xbox 360?

I want an Xbox for Christmas, but I can't decide which one :)

~ Some people say that Xbox 360 is better, but I see no difference between them. Then why does the Xbox 360 cost more then Xbox 360?

Yes, alothough the Xbox 360 costs roughly 400-500 big-ones, and its younger brother only costs $150-250, there are some big differences.

I'll start by mentioning the very obvious one: The games. Xbox 360 has a better variety of games, and a large amount of them have online multi-player accessability. And although some say its too limited (online multi-player), the games themselves were excellent in single and normal multiplayer modes.

Another is quality. The Xbox 360 is said to have faster procesing speeds and is supposally better in graphics, sounds, etc.

Although thats only two, the majority of Xbox 360 players find it much better then the Xbox itself.

If you're looking for it as a gift idea, I suggest the 360. Although it costs more, the Xbox games can be played on it, plus you have the newer games avalible too. If you want to go by bargan and be the thrifty shopper we all wish we were, go for the Xbox. Although some will disagree, its cheaper and can play a slightly lower quality version of 200+ games already. New releases are compatible usually to an Xbox (meaning they still make the games for it).

But let it be know, it's only a matter of time before the Xboxes are gone and only the 360's are left. The same process happened with Numerous Nintendo prducts (N64-GameCube, Gameboy-GBA, etc.)

Xbox 360 is beter!!! It has more games and much good sound an video.
Personaly I think it' s more good than Xbox 306. (The games are more expensive.) I sugest to take Xbox 360, it' s beter than Xbox.
