Hmm, so is it you that is expecting the gale-force winds or do you need protection from the expectation of, let us say, the external effects of gale-force winds?
I would suggest that you build a curricane defence (bean meaning to do that for ages!). Avoid taking trips to Brussels. Avoid becoming a farter - sorry about the typo - I meant to include the 'h' - honestly! And last but not least, if the problem is the second party, then for goodness sake, don't invite Gail around in the first place or at least get her to change her name.

I'm not sure if you are serious or not..If not good for you, you have some cracking answers already.
I work as a meterologist, and have been working at this game for the last 6 years. If you live in any type of solid building i.e concrete or woodframe structures you will be fine. Technically speaking gales are limited in force and intensity...the strongest gale that one gets is a force nine, or severe gale...see the beaufort windscale scale for details...however I don't think that this will top 44 knots or 47 mph.
Genrally speaking what causes the most destruction is short rapid escalation in gale/storm intensity. Everyone in the western world has experienced a gale and few have suffered as a result of it.
If I were u, I would be asking about storms and hurricanes...now they are a different kettle of fish.

Stay indoors but if you have to go outside attach a kite or paracute to you and enjoy the ride while it lasts. Itmay take you over the rainbow lol

Wear a ton of makeup to stop damage to the skin, aways go out in twos tied together that way you won't be seperated and your always with someone to help or be helped!
