Ok so you just read the question. i am 12 and i have one but it ok woth my mom because she checks once a month. so dose my brother he has one too. but my cousin is 14 and thats the age to have one but her mother is all like no i dont think so. so me and my cousin told her she can check her myspace like my momma do. but then she starting yelling at me and my momma for lefting me have a myspace. so it like we dont know what todo? i told my cousin to just keep one on the Down Low

her mom has every right to be upset and protective. even checking her space once a month isnt enough. there are some crazy ppl out there. i am talkin from experience.
don't encourage her to keep one after her mom said no...it will just make things worse. check out this link....this was done locally by a radio station where i live. there are precautions to take that will help...but nothing is ever 100% safe

Show her that they can be restricted so that only people that your cousin knows can be added. I'm sure she is just trying to protect her child! My 4 year old has one so that she can talk to her grandparents that live away from us. She doesn't get any outside mail from strangers just family!

for a teen to be defiant against her mother? well, she BETTER keep it on the down low.
let her check it at your place. but don't tell your mamma, cuz she might tell your auntie.
