The first step if you want to properly stock your tank is to decide what kind of fish you want to keep. 1" per gallon is a rule reserved only for typical small community fish - just because your tank is 92 gallons doesn't mean you can keep one 92" fish in there.

If you wanted, say Oscars, you can only have 2 of them in that tank, even though their total length won't be more then 24-28". If you wanted neon tetra's, then you can keep a school of 100 no problem. If you just want small, peaceful community fish, then following the rule should work just fine.

The rule of thumb is 1 inch of fish per gallon. A good fish for that size tank are Chichlid. They get pretty big, and are really pretty and interesting. Most are at least semi-aggressive. A good website to look at is www.liveaquaria.com! It splits them up into African Chichlids and American or New World Chichlids. In African they also separate them from origin. Ones from The same origin will probably work better together. Chichlids are freshwater too so they are easier to take care of than saltwater aquariums.

Depending on what kind of fish you are going to keep, a general rule of thumb is 1 inch of fish per 1 gallon of water. That means you could have 92 neon tetras, (for example). With more aggressive species, I prefer to give them a little extra room, and lots of hiding places. Do some research, find out which kind(s) of fish you really like, and go from there. Good luck and best wishes with whatever you decide... let us know how it turns out!

Really depends on which type of fish you want and the requirements of those fish

You could probably keep a large group of various small tropical fish in that tank, but the 92gal would definately be too small for a single pacu.
