You need to read the Harry Benjamin standard of care, that is the basis of what i am about to tell you.
First off you need to find a gender therapist. Then with the help from that therapist you will find out if you are a woman in a guys body.
If that is what is determined then you wil start hormone replacement therapie.
Later on you will start what is called the real life test(RLT for short),Thats when you live 24/7 as a woman and see if thats realy what you want. The standards of care require a minimun of 12 months of RLT.
During this time you will see your therapist once a week and see how it going.
When the therapist is shure that the gender reassinment surgery( GRS for short) is right for you he/she will give you 2 letters that you will need to get your GRS .
Then you find a surgen that you trust and then you become a woman.
Rememeber that as a woman you will loose some libertys that you took for granted before, what i meen is before i transitionned my libertys i could compare to a large freezer box,now after GRS my libertys i can compare to an Ipod box.
No i have no regrets on doing it.
Good luck

if you strongly feel that way i suggest that you seek the proper psychiatric and medical advice, it's a HUGE thing your considering, in fact it probably doesn't come much bigger. get ready because the chances are you'll loose friends and family as well as being open to ridicule from A SS holes that don't understand, but at the end of the day you gotta do whats right for you. You have my blessing and i wish you all the best.

You'll lose your ability to pee standing up, dude. Think about it. I heard one guy who had a sex change say that when he went to the toilet for the first time he "sprayed his bum." Not a nice thought.
Do you want to have sex with men or just have female parts for the sake of it?

If you have doubts, don't! If you are trying to find answers here, then my answer would definately be: 'no'! There is no way back and this is something you don't want to regret later on!
Find out who you are first, if you want there are professional genderteams who can help you.

tough decision to make by yourself. you need to find a therapist who specializes in this area . to start exploring every aspect of it not just your immediate needs or wants. there are I'm sure alot of long term aspects you have not considered yet
