Because the male sex is sexually driven. But wait a minute I've seen lesbian relationships where the dominant female treats her gf like a sex object and also homosexual relationships where the men treat each other as sex objects I don't think baring children has anything to do with it. By the way I know women are stronger than men in a lot of ways, the reason why women are dubbed weaker is one they are generally weaker physically and two they usually leave the leading to men.

As my experience you get what you advertise for. It has been said "Boys/ men play at love to get sex, while girl/ women play at sex to get love."

As a 40+ male I have seen this played out time and time again, yet the feminist agenda has fostered and promoted through the late 20th century sameness telling everyone that it was really about equality, no we grew up in it and time has shown the truth of what was being taught. If it were about equality then we would not be having so many problems with who has what strengths, talents, and/ or creation gifts.

Let's face it SEX sells and we are a Lustfull society. No not just for sex, but this premise goes all the way down to how we raise our children by what we allow the media to pump into our homes as far as "gender" roles and beauty.

Our bodies were made for different purposes not different ideas. How we get to/ go through a thought process to get to and end result is just as important as the final result.

So, are women sex objects? If we end the programming will the system shut down? Society needs to be changed, but it will take a lot of hard work and about 10 generations to "fix" the problem, .....that's about 400 years in a sterile society.

2 be fair, itz not all the mens' fault. Let be honest. Alot of women dress provocatively and are very promiscuous. Those women who pose nude in those magazines have the choice.They don't have to have their naked bodies plastered 4 every1 to c. We don't have to bump and grind in all the music videos. We don't have to sleep with every1 2 be beautiful and to be loved.We are treated as the weaker sex because we act as the weaker sex. We let too much happen because we feel if we do that, we'll be accepted. We use sex as the thing that makes us divine and itz not! Yes the men have their part in it, but if we would develop some respect and dignity 4 ourselves, we wouldn't be treated as sex objects. WE AS WOMEN HAVE TO MAKE THE CHANGE AND WE CAN'T COUNT ON ANY1 ELSE TO MAKE IT 4 US. Think about it.

Men may be physically stronger, but it is women who have more power (for all the reasons you listed and then some).

Males seek to dominate females because they cannot deal with the fact that women are more powerful. That's why we have a male-dominated society.

Many men seek to reduce women to a level that is more comfortable for them to deal with. They do this by objectifying them, stereotyping them, and discriminating against them. It is a way of overcompensating for feelings of inadequacy.

And there are those women who had little/no relationship with their father, and believe that their sexuality determines their worth, or that they lack other redeeming qualities. They profit from the market of men who need to reduce women, and never develop other marketable skills.

Let's not overlook the majority of men out there who appreciate the differences. There are many who value and do not fear women. Many men out there think to themselves, "WOW! Glad that childbearing is something I will never have to do, I don't know if I could handle it!" And those who think "I would never let MY daughter pose nude in magazines for dirty old men, let alone do porn on the internet!" And they treat women as they wish other guys would treat their wives/girlfriends/daughters/grandmothers.

As long as there are women to buy into and reinforce the male self-serving need to reduce women, then the legacy continues...

No, women are not treated as such. i dont think so, and its sad that you see yourself and your family as that. General human society is male dominated and just built upon unfair norms which are biased against women. Its also the weakness of men when it comes to women, allowing for the creation of certain gender roles and stereotypes. Cultures also play a part, like US where proliferation of porn nothing wrong coz they believe in freedom of choice. Japan as well. Personaly,I dont believe in women as sex objects but unfortunately society is still heading down that direction, since...... the dinosaurs....

Girls nowadays are also misguided in e way that their notions of beauty is so influenced by the media and the male definitions of beauty. Thats one reason why girls themsleves like to dress like sex objects. Asking for it, in a sense.
