I have two windows XP accounts on my computer. One is for my brother and the other is for me..(read details)?

If i installed a program or something on my account, would it automaticlly be installed on his? just wondering because the accounts seem linked.

Yes. In xp the accounts only differ in some minor settings like desktop settings etc.

Since you both share a computer, why not share software as well? What if you and your brother each installed the same software on each of your account? It will just take up hard drive space unnecessary, right?

Yes, but you can change it so that only you/him get the installation
