In this day and age, something educational is viewed as lame, but without a decent education, you go nowhere. But if the educational thing is not high on you list, go to a bank of your choice and get him a Visa gift card and he can choose to make his own purchase for whatever he wants. Making purchases on my own always made me feel like I was grown up enough to make decisions.

A dog,or a bb gun or,a computer or a paintball gun or a camera or a MP3 player or a Guiatr ,stuff like this can be cheap or exspensive,this is stuff i would have loved when i was 11.

Lawn tools and a "how to" book on landscaping. And send him to my place, my hedges are a wreck and the flowerbed needs weeding.

He'll be glad to be a kid after a few weeks mowing the lawn.
