Trees make some sort of flowers during their season. After the flower is pollinated, a seed forms.

When the seeds hit the ground, if they are able to find enough nutrition and the proper conditions, the seed will sprout into a very small tree.

Generally it takes a few weeks from time the tree flowers until the seed either drops or is propagated by a bird or some other source. Tree flowers don't always look like you would expect a flower to appear.
