Your best bet is to get it outside on a hot day and use a steam cleaner over the whole thing, it not only removes stains without chemicals but it will kill all the dust mites too which is great for allergy sufferers, the heat of the day will have dry in no time. In the meantime you could use a mattress protector.

You can hire someone to do this for you or use just ordinary shout for fabrics. Shout is one of the better ones for all fabric stains but you can try other laundry stain removers. There are some formulated for special types of stains. If you could rent an upholstery cleaner or a carpet cleaner with an upholstery attachment this would suck most of the dirt away. If they are old stains they may not be able to be removed.

Didn't you get an instruction sheet with the mattress? If not, contact the manufacturer for the "care and feeding" of your mattress.

You may want to buy a mattress pad to protect your bed.

depending upon the stains, yes. I have used peroxide on blood stains, and they have completely vanished.
