what is the benifits and drawbacks of X-Static?

it has been reported that Particles of silver in clothing can take away body odor..some say its safe..and of course others dont...its been reported that the EPA will not consider it as nanotechnology...any thoughts on this....

Silver properly combined with a suitable substrate is ok.
