Fruits Basket- What is the curse for the Sohma family? Who does Tohru like anyways?

I have read the entire English series of Fruits Basket and i still dont know what the curse is....

The curse is that when members of the Sohma family or jyuunshi (however that is spelled), are hugged by members of the opposite sex or are sick or not in the best condition, they change into an animal from the Chinese Zodiac for a varied amount of time. This doesn't count when they are hugged by another member of jyuunshi or someone who is also cursed.
As far as Tohru likes, I'm not really sure. Becuase in the start of the series, she had a crush on Yuki. But in the end, she falls for Kyo I believe. I'm not entirely sure.

some members of their large family is possessed by a spirit of an animal of the zodiac, when they are embraced by the opposite sex (unless they are cursed) they will turn into the animal they are possessed by for a short while. They will also turn into the animal if they are ill or weak. It causes problems because it gets in the way with getting close to people, without thinking they are a freak, hence Tohru rocks. Tohru i think likes both yuki and kyo, but in my opinion kyo should be with Kagura and let yuki and tohru be together ^___^ hehe

the curse is that whenever a possesed member gets hugged by a person of the oppostie gender or is really weak, they will turn into their animal form. and ummmm isn't in the end that Tohru end up with Kyo? (That's what my friend told me....)

well... if you have read all the way to ch 136, then you would have found out that tohro and kyo marries and we get to see their grandchildren... as far as the curse goes... well im not too sure since i havent read that far. mind you there are 23 volumes in total - tokyopop published 15 so far while chuangyi has 20 out.
