I hope you don't mind the length of this answer. I like a gift from the heart...even if it's not what I would pick (ie my brother gave me a set of pocket knives-his hobby--and I knew it's what he would have wanted). I like things made--a card or poem when you know there's not alot of money but tons of love and heart. I like the following:

Now it doesn't have to have the biblical quotes after if you want to use it ( I like it but not everyone does and I have never felt the need to push my beliefs on any--but will answer to the best of my ability if I am asked.) The thing I like best about the above list is that it's the simple everyday things to point out what good there is to see if only we will. and you can add your own touches to it.

To find a JOB. It is soooooooo hard to find one. Five month ago i finished a MA course and every where i go wants experienced ones. But HOW can i get experience if NObody willing to give me a chance? That would be the BEST Holiday present.

I'm hoping for one of those heavy-duty KitchenAid mixers, but I doubt it'll happen. They're pretty expensive, and my mixer works just fine.

As for what could make me really happy? How about my mother... I'd like it very much if she could be more... interested or supportive. I'd like it if she could play the "mother" role better. I've got a better chance @ the KitchenAid.
