Im trying to fix my speakers but I dont know what type of sound card i have how do I figure out.

go in device manager and look in sound video and game controller

It is a card that lets the speakers connect and talk to the Computer.

If its a Dell or HP or other brand name. Go to their website (Usually dell.com or hp.com or gateway.com etc...) and search for your model number (usually a sticker has this info on the front of the case.. if not look around for it. Its there somewhere.

If its something someone built for you, ask them. Chances are they can tell you quickly.

it is a device that allows your computer to play sound. Try going to add/remove hardware and finding it on there.

Buy a new one, install it, and use it. Its probably going to be better anyway. the ones that come with the motherboard suck.
