No. Processor is how fast your computer works. My computer is 2.53 GHz and Pentium 4. There are much faster computers but that does not have anything to do with the internet speed. That is strictly from your ISP.

No. The processor speed just means how quickly your processor will handle applications. If you want faster internet speed you'll need a connection better than dial up. DSL and Cable are the common ISP but the fastest is a T10 connection (last I remember) but that is not used by the common user. What helps also is decent RAM (128Mb) and a decent video card as well.

No.
The internet runs at the fastest speed permitted by the number of connections to the server your system is going to, and the speed of the several it goes through, to get there.
Your NIC (Network Interface Card) is probably a '100,000 bit per second' advertised product. It probably runs at the top speed of around 33,000 bits per second, and you can devide by 8 to see the rate of transfer for any data.
So, there are targets and goals, and there is reality. I get the same internet speed with my 133Mhz (Mega Hertz /second) computers, as I do on my Athlon Thunderbird 2.0 system that the processor is running at 1.667Mhz.
But, my file processes compile and function upto 50X faster, because, I did what Microsoft did to their 45,000 computers at Redmond Campus, Hyderabad Campus, and all Corporate computers and routers, and firewalls, and Hotmail, MSN.com, and Microsoft.com.
I run GNU/Linux. It comes with 1900 games, programs, apps, suites, and NO VIRUS!

You will notice "Internet Speed" based on the type of connection to the internet more than anything else. Cable/DSL is generally the fastest. With the link below you can test your internet speed connection.

No. Processor speed has nothing to do with your internet speed! Your internet speed is affected only by what your provider (ISP) allows you and your hardware(network card). :-)=
