It hasn't happened yet. The anime at this point is still continuing on fillers.. Once KG and Part II start, you can safely assume that Gaara is presently the Kazekage. There isn't an episode/chapter where he "becomes" Kazekage. Naruto is told that while he was away, Gaara became a Kage.

Gaara become kazekage during the time Naruto is away which has not happened in the anime as yet. Of course Naruto is still technically a genin when he returns so he can't help but feel a little jealous lol

Yes, Gaara does come the Kazekage for the Hidden Village of the Sand. You can see it in Naruto Shippuuden.

I'm not sure what episode, but it's after the Naruto time skip. I don't think it's been started yet. I think he first appears as the Kazekage (even if he doesn't where the hat!) in the Second Naruto movie.

it is planed to come out in episode 380. But in th first naruto movie he already is kazekage.
