Surely if it was purely random/chaos you would eventually see shapes and/or blocks of colour? So is there a reason why you don't see this?

Because god only wants two colors in his static. Do not question him blasphemer. huh what.... oh ok... God wants me to tell you that you can access his custom color static by applying a magnet to the screen.

picture information in analog tv-signals is too complex to be reproduced by simple random noise
in addition color comes in specific packets called 'color burst', cause it was an addon to black and white tv
this signal needs a specific timing and shape within the signal to be displayed
so actually random noise is too random to intentionally create such a portion of the signal

i bet if you once see one single black block 8 by 8 pixel, we would hear from SETI that they have found an intelligent transmission from outer space, or so

because of the line frequency (15625 hz) and frame frquency (50 hz) it would have to be a very 'coherant' bit of noise to produce a block or circle.
Certainly it could happen by chance, but It would be equivalent getting all six numbers on the lottery 10 weeks running............and because the whole picture is refreshed every 20 ms, it would barely be noticable

You do.....you are just looking at the wrong scale...in addition next time you look at snow (caused by background radition) watch...there are these swirls that travel both clockwise and anticlockwise, either small or big slow or fast....cirlces or ovals....sometimes slight triangular....yes yes yes I was bored!
