Read the newspaper, listen to the news on radio or watch the news on television & what do you see? Nothing but negative stories. Violence,war , murder, some goverment offical getting caught doing something they should not. Is there not something GOOD happening some where in the world??

There ARE good local stories but none world wide. something GOOD must be happening in Europe, Aisa, Africa ,etc. etc.

The best way to get depressed is to watch TV.
The best remedy is not watching TV.
The good thing happening in the world today is the work done silently by millions who are building the model of a future world, without gender prejudices, without racial prejudices, without religious prejudices, without national prejudices, without class prejudices.

Most of the good things in life are not newsworthy. Even when we read heartwarming stories of heroes who rescue people in danger, it is also a story about people being in danger and needing rescue. The good things like a good marriage, children one can be proud of, a cozy home, an interesting and challenging job, the respect of one's peers, the books one reads and the movies one sees -- those are not the stuff of news, but they are the stuff of contentment.
News is about upsetting things. That's what news is. Once in a while it is about overcoming adversity, but it is still about adversity.

of course there are a lot of good things happening, but good news does not sell newspapers

the news only reports really BIG stories and some people don't want to hear about lives being saved, only lives being lost.

the media only reports bad news,i guess noone cares about good news,either that or there is no good news anywhere.not until The Lord returns. :)
