I have a blog which I've been doing for 3 months now. I think its a really good concept - where I tell stories (true ones) of people's first memories of something. Examples, first pet and how it died, first time of a plane, first time at the dentist, hearing the truth about Santa, nightmares etc. Lots of people have told me its a good idea and concept for a book. Rather than try to get a publisher I have decided to put all these stories on a blog. My aim was to generate more stories. Any ideas how I can get more comments rather than more hits to the site?

Create a 360 page here, let people access it from this site, and include a link to the blog on your 360 page. Then answer a lot of questions here, and ask some, and some people will be interested in you, and check out your 360, and some will follow the link to the blog you are promoting.

Find other sites with similar interests, and set up links between the sites, from theirs to yours and vice-versa.

Unless you use the most popular blogging services, readers will be reluctant to register in order to make single comments. You could try allowing comments from unregistered users.

Short stories with possibilities to rate the best one. Hard to start but it depends on the content really. Few chapters and theme suggestion will be good. Best of Luck!
