All right, i built my computer last summer and it seems to crash about once every 2 days. i dont leave it on, it just crashes when im using it. I bought a asus a8n32-sli mobo with a amd 3800 processor. i am over clocking the processor , but not to much. please help thanks

Get this, run it for a week. If it crashes, you have a hardware problem, or, you have an overheating problem, possibly due to the overclocking... and then, if it crashes, run it at the real speed for a week.

http://pclinuxos.com is a LiveCDrom. boots in CD, runs in RAM. Tests everything. Read teh DMESG logs in the console.

oveheating due to underpower and not enough cooling

look at the easy hardware fixes and antivirus program install first.

virus and spyware can shut your computer down
cause blue screens

go to Grisoft Free and download a very good Free for home use antivirus. update the virus definitions and run the scan, it will clean out bad files.

Probably there's not much memory
You should atleast have 256MB

too much programs running wich might cause conflicts with one another....
