For a girl, I like Marilyn. I had a friend name Darcee and she hated her name. She always had us call her Brandy.
For a boy, Matty. Dirk is nice, but I always think of that dorky kid off of survivor (he lived hear us.) Dirk is also too close to the work dork, but you know kids, they'll change any name to make fun.

I like those names a lot. They are so pretty. For a girl, I definitely like Marilyn because not a lot of people have that name and Darcee kind of sounds old fashioned but it's still a pretty name. And for a boy, Iike Dirk because it's also (kind of sorta) unqiue since not many people have tht name and Matty sounds kind of like 'mat' like a rug or something....good luck choosing and good luck with giving birth (i'm assuming the baby isnt born yet lol :) )

Darcee, Marilyn, and Dirk are fine, but don't name him Matty. Name him Matt or Matthew and call him Matty when he is small, but change it to Matthew or Matt when he gets older. To be called Matty in school would be terrible. He would get ribbed by the other boys.

Those are all very nice names. The two girl names could actually be used together as first and middle in either order. The boy names though sound like 'boy' or nicknames. Though cute, when thinking of a baby name, I often say it, spell it and then think how it will look on a resume for an adult. Matty just sounds short for Matthew. Which is perfect for a boy, Nickname Matty and resume listing Matthew.
Again. All of the names are fine. I don't know whether this is your first child or not, but be confident that whatever name you choose will be fine and will fit your child. You can ALWAYS give a nickname. : )
Good luck!

Ok seriously no Dirk (Every time I thought about Dirk...I giggle because of Dirk Diggler of Boogie Nights....C'MON U SAW IT TOO!!!) And Matty I think he will definitely resent you during his teenage years.
As for the girl names I like Darcee better
Advise I got when I was pregnant with my first...
Give them names for adulthood...you can call them the cute names when they are growing up but as adults they need a strong name.

Marilyn is very nice and is not a name that is overused. With a boy if I decided on Matty I would use the longer version of Matthew because when he becomes an adult Matty seems like a baby name and you can always keep it shortened when he is young and he can decide if he want to lengthen it to the more formal form since it would seem more dignified for a professional adult. Dirk is an awesome name though.

I like the name Marilyn. I don't like the others. Darcee sounds like an obnoxious cheerleader name. . Dirk sounds feminine and Matty is good for when he is a child but, will sound silly when he is a grown man. Marilyn is pretty though and you don't hear it much.

Marilyn for a girl cause it reminds me of the voluptous Marilyn Monroe
I don't care for Darcee because it reminds me of Marcy Darcy and kids can easily make fun of the name. Choose a name that kids what have a hard time making fun of.
for a boy I would suggest Matthew and nickname Matty.
