how do i detect the number on the private call.?

If you receive a call with identity withheld or private call how can you know the number of the person calling you.

ive never been able to do that. it is generally a prank call or a studpid company. my personal favorites are as follows:
1.answer the phone, cuss them out, hang up.
2.answer the phone, tell them "its about time, weve been waiting for hours! where have you been?" make fun of them for calling you.
3.dont answer the phone, stare while it rings and laugh at them.
4.dont asnwer the phone, push the ignore button. laugh if you think it is funny

all cell phones ive used in the past few years have a funtion to hide the id, so its likely coming from someone with a cell phone. i get very agry when that happens so i just push the answer buton and hold the speaker to my brother to say something stupid because im uncreative.
