Your best option is to fly with Lufthansa / United via Frankfurt. There area several flights a day from Dulles to Frankfurt, and daily ti Lagos leaving just before noon. You may be able to get economy class for around that price. If you can't get it on one ticket, try to purchase IAD - FRA seperately.
