Mother Shipton and the Farndale Hobs.
Mother Shipton reputedly turned everything to stone and if your ever in Knaresborough you can go to the Mother Shipton caves, the Farndale Hobs reputedly helped the farmers in the Dales, we have lots of mythical creatures and people stories up here in Yorkshire, do a Google search and I am sure you find lots more interesting stories.

Mythology tends to be particular to a culture rather than an area, and pre-dates county borders. Celtic, germanic and Norse would have been amongst those common in that area in the past. Folklore I see you already have in abundance here.

There's supposedly a spectral black dog that brings bad luck to those who see it.

In York there are numerous ghosts - supposedly. The most famous sighting was of a ghostly Roman legion walking on their knees but really walking on an old Roman Road beneath the floorboard.
