Have to give the nod to the Avalanche. Sure, they're misplaced Nordiques, but as well, they moved, and the next year, won the cup.
Enjoyed watching Roy stun the world, and Sakic still looks fresh, even for his age.
It's sad to watch the team get dissembled due to the new rules on money, but they still can put together a fair club, with what remains....and build on the rookies and second year players.
That, and it keeps the Red Wings from running away with the cup each year.
