If that partner was my husband...I would leave him. That is something I will NOT tolerate. We had an agreement long ago...if we want someone else...then we will be honest and tell each other before hand....so it won't be behind our backs.
But, if you aren't married.....then it would depend on how far he/she went in the cheating. The one reason I won't tolerate cheating is because of all the std's and HIV and Aids out there.

I did find out and we separated briefly. He assured me it was a huge mistake and he loves me only ( yes l am one of those stupid women someone said about in an earlier question) and l forgave him, but rest assured he knows he would never be forgiven if it ever happened again. I know in my heart though that it will never happen again. I do not believe in the saying " once a cheater always a cheater "

I would first go to the bank take out all the money then macks out all his credit cards, and disappear. Would not spend one more day. Oh ya make sure you have some evidents don't take words from Friends, make sure you got a picture to prove it, before you go nuts.

i would first confront him, than wait for his response, if he was sorry and remorseful, maybe i would give it another try, providing he never did that to me before. if he was not sorry, and lied to me after i already had proof, i would end it right away, and not put any more trust into an untrustworthy partner.

since you said,,what would you do if?,,,,,,,,one of my flaws is having to know why things happen,,there is a reason for everything,,,,,so first,,cry,(a lot),,tell him to leave and go from there,,,,if someone wants to leave you there is the way out and they go,,if they are sorry and dont want to go they stay and try to explain,,i know myself so i would listen due to 'my flaw',,and i would go from there,,people have to talk and people need understanding and i figure better to know why something was done,,that you dont want for them to stay if they dont want to be with you,,,from there i figure some form of closure can begin to happen in your head,,,,,,,i mean,,,,i dont want someone who doesnt want to be with me and the fact they cheated makes them a coward not me,,they could have said it was over and THAT i would want to hear,,the rest i could get over, but at least i would know and i would be sure if they were coming back for the right reasons when a way out was given to them,,,call me fool if you want to but,,well.......................i would rather split with honesty than hate.

If it's true, confront him and watch the bastard squirm!
If he doesn't squirm enough, fall at your feet, beg for forgiveness and promise to love and worship you and only you for ever more them dump him!

If I knew for sure, they would never see or hear from me again. I would have nothing more to say to them.
