HEY it irks me about the whole thing. Christmas is Way too commercial. They put out Christmas before Halloween...and skip right over Thanksgiving. I think merchants shouldn't be allowed to put Christmas stuff out til after Thanksgiving as with any other Holiday. Let ONE happen at a time.
Black Friday is a gimmick too. They raise the prices and make YOU think you're getting a deal.

I did not go out today. I am actually working. I did watch live news coverage of the shopping in my area. Some shoppers were in line at 4:00 a.m! I don't think that all of the the bargains are all that great. In some cases, the prices are increased before they are discounted which creates the illusion of a bargain. It is not worth it to me. There will be other sales prior to Christmas.
The holiday has become SO commercialized.I wish we could go back to the old way and focus on homemade gifts and gifts from the heart.

I don't see any real bargains out there. I certainly NEVER see bargains worth risking life and limb for (not to mention mental health...because it's a personal strain on my sanity to be less than elbow distance from several people...)
I am busy digesting Thanksgiving dinner still. I'm staying in. Black Friday is a marketing ploy to get shoppers into the stores, and that's it. Ever notice, too, that it is mostly the lower middle class people who go ape on Black Friday? If there were REAL bargains to be had, then wealthy entrepreneurs with good business senses would be out cavorting today.

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving whilst there are various revenues and human beings are doing somewhat some procuring for Christmas. from time to time clientele get in fights with one yet another, etc. I surely have purely approximately laways controlled to stay away from Black Friday. this is a bunch of hype to get you to spend a stressful day spending all your money. Who desires that?

I avoid Black Friday like the Black Plague. I spent too many years working retail to want to go anywhere near the stores. People act like maniacs to get the bargains, which are not so much different than any other day. They tout this day as something special just to bring people into the stores,

Didn't go this year...I think the black friday thing is getting stupid now...people lining up from 10 am on Thanksgiving day?? give me a break...they are taking it too far...you are supposed to spend thanksgiving with your loved ones not in a line somewhere...every year people are lining up earlier and earlier each year...then you have grown people who act like maniacs...pushing and shoving, .risk putting themselves in physical danger just to grab the hottest items....I think it's all hype for real...It is not the cheapest day at all...you can get the same bargins all throughout the year...I don't like the crazy crowds at all..too crazy for me..the "bargin" is no longer worth it to me...

I'm hiding at home. There is nothing that could make me go to a Walmart today, not even a directive from God. Besides, I do most of my shopping online.

I am at home and not going out there. I cannot stand rude people and I truly do not believe that you save any more money than if you wait until the day before Christmas....

I am avoiding it like the plague!!! I can not stand all the crowds, rudeness and traffic. I did that several years back and it really wasn't that big of a difference on my checkbook.
