Lets say you intend to use your stock transmission. I would go with the 3.73:1 rear end. If you intend to drive it on the street without blowing your engine up, you need to consider not going any lower unless you expect to drive around at 35-40 MPH all the time. Out on the freeway you would be turning the engine too tight at 55-60 MPH. It really depends on what you are going to do with the vehicle, as to how low to go with the gearing. For the street a 3.73:1 is about the threshold for a daily driver. You will also get into trouble with blowing up transmissions if you go too low, as the gears of a stock transmission can't take that kind of torque. As far as instructions, go to summitracing.com or jegs.com and look under the instruction section for a video on building a rear end. You will also need some special tools to do the job properly. This is not a job for the every day mechanic, as it does take someone with experience to set one up to where it will stay in the car, and not come apart.
Glad I could help. Good Luck!!!

the higher the # the lower your top speed and fuel mileage try the 3.73 , what is in there now ? don't do it yourself, i have been playing with cars for 33 years and always farm this stuff out, setting up the ring and pinion backlash is an art , and a few thousandths of an inch will eat your new gears for breakfast. have fun

Depends what you want. 4.10 will give you faster start off the line but lower top end speed. (Lower gas milage as well.)
