I have a fifth generation video ipod which I've had for a few months and never had a problem with. However, recently it froze and i was unable to get any audio or video. I could hear the 'clicks' from the wheel but otherwise the ipod wouldn't respond period. I visited the apple website for instructions on how to reset my ipod which was easy enough and was successful. But should i be concerned by this and why does it happen? I hadn't dropped my ipod or experienced any problems that would suggest a reason for this happening.

No...mine does it all the time. Annoying though, seen as I spent £230 on it only 4 months ago! The best way to un-freeze it is hold the menu button and the centre button down together for about 6 or 7 seconds. It will reboot itself then.

Mine does that sometimes. Try plugging it into the mains. That works for me. If there is something seriously wrong with it you will get a sad face on the screen.

It'll do that every once and awhile. just flip the hold button to hold and back, then hold menu and the middle button whenver it decides to freeze.
