Nothing to get rid of a cold. It's a virus that has to run it's course. Now, there are remedies to help the symptoms and some were posted previously.
There is always a possibility this cold can turn into a bacterial infection- such as bronchitis. If it lasts too long, see a doctor.
But in the meantime, chicken soup! Warm baths or showers. Hot herbal tea. Tylenol or similar for aches and pains.

The traditional method. First you stand upside down, eat a coconut, drink milk, eat yogurt and then spin around 10 times, after you puke, you wash your mouth with honey and then with water. After that drink 3 glasses of water. If that doesn't work you go to the doctor.

This won't 'cure' your cold, but it will take away all symptoms so you can function. Try Tylenol Cold and Sinus. Worked for me...but made me drowsy. But I was able to get on with my day. Good luck...and feel better!
