U2 are by far the best live act in the world and have been for the last 20 years. Theve played more gigs than anyone ever in the history of music and played to more people than anyone else in the history of music. They sell out every single gig they have ever done and they give 100% every single time. If you havent seen them dont come on here pretending to know anything about it and slagging them off you sad bunch. Adam Clayton has been voted bass player of the year on 4 occasions by Bass player magazine, he No1 mag for pro bass players. They have won more grammys than any other band...I could go on and on and on and on. Also, Bono has done more for world poverty than any politician has ever done and all people do is have a go at him, I tell you what, what have you ever done? At least he uses his fame for good use and not his own personal gain...not that he needs to being worth over 100 million pounds each and that doesnt include their assets! Most of their revenue comes from live gigs because the always sell out. They only charge about £35 per ticket which is cheaper than most of the rubish acts like Madonna charge.
Quite simply people, its a no contest that U2 would win every single time, you cant argue with the facts.

The Killers were fantastic the other day when I saw them. Really great. The Manic Street Preachers were also magnificent when I saw their Greatest Hits tour.

But I would say that the best live act I have seen was the classic rock band Jethro Tull. After over 30 years of touring the band are still great - in fact they have improved over time. They keep making new albums and improving old songs. Many bands just keep playing a few popular tracks over and over (like the Rolling Stones often do when live) but Jethro Tull play a mix of all their stuff and you are never certain what you will get. Also front man Ian Anderson is very witty and makes a lot of jokes in between songs.

U2 are still a great band to see live though - but not my favourite.

Ok the edge is a great guitarist of that there is NO doubt.

Let us now turn our attention to mister Bonio. The big headed, narcissistic prat thinks he is god with some of his pronouncements. I'd like to punch his teeth down his throat.

Clayton, not even a musician. I mean, just listen to him trying to play that thing. He just thrashes it as though it were a club or something. He's a moron.

FINALLY we should never forget that they condoned Irish terrorism ( before 9/11 made it unfashionable, of course)

Best live performance must surely go to GWAR, no other band comes even close. Not a good choice if you don't like 'stuff' on your clothes, though!
