I think you are over reacting everyone forgets dates all the time I do it too, I could understand if you were mad and arguing when you say didnt he mean why. Why was he asking when were you born anyway? What did he want to know that for at the time>?

You didnt describe the situation in details to get the answer acurately. It actually depends on what mood did your dad ask this question. May be he asked sarcastically or even may be he was simply annoyed and wanted to let you realize that you are grown up. Dadies saying these sort of questions are not meant to hurt in many cases. They know whats good for you.

Dads/Men are pretty rubbish with dates. (obviously not all, but lots). Neither of my parents could remember the actual day I was born, as in Thursday for example, when I asked. Also as I was born second they have a plethora of photos of my older brother as a baby and about 2 of me. I wouldn't take it to heart too much, they're just people with memories, good and bad like everyone else.

That is a little sad. Your own father shouldn't be asking questions like that. I say remind him when your birthday is every time you see him - maybe you could throw in your birthweight and the hospital where it took place, and the exact time, just to rub it in his face. :)

This is a bit sad, but don't let it put you down. Maybe your dad is just not good with dates. Although he should know of by heart each of his childrens' dates of birth.

i wouldnt worry about that at all, alot of people have trouble remembering dates ......especially years
i doubt whether my husband could tell me the years our kids were born
and if it wasnt for me he'd never remember to send his mum a card
